Bean Loved is the brainchild of father and son duo, Steve and Wes Bond.

As the first independent speciality coffee shop in Skipton, it’s safe to say we are passionate about coffee.

Ethos & values

Our unique artisan espresso blend speaks for itself, and every cup is lovingly made by our fully trained baristas. As a father and son business, family is important to us, and every member of our team is individual and equal. It’s not just about making coffee, being a barista at Bean Loved is a true passion for our bar team, and we encourage a skilled and motivated workforce by investing in their training and career growth.

We buy only locally sourced produce and each dish is made fresh in-house, delivered from the kitchen with love. We like to support local businesses within the Skipton community, and our talented chefs work hard to serve only the very best, creative and delicious food from our extensive breakfast, brunch and lunch menus.

Nurturing and investing in our talented team is important to us, and we work together, as a Bean Loved family-unit, to deliver our true passion for coffee.
Meet the Team

Wes Bond

Wes Bond now heads-up the business, and his experience in hospitality and catering spans more than 20 years in roles both in the UK and across the world. He found his love for coffee whilst working in Australia, appreciating the super fresh roast they brought to each cup – something the UK had yet to harness at the time. Wes competed in the UK Barista Championships in 2013 and 2015; finishing in the top ten of the competition each year.

As a trained barista himself, Wes works closely with his talented team to develop Bean Loved’s extensive and creative menu – including their takeaway service – as all the staff play a part in the business.

In the last two decades, Bean Loved has become entrenched within the Skipton community. Building on its family foundations with a friendly team who share the same passion and dedication for quality food and drink.

Steve Bond

Steve has worked in catering all this life. He began his career in his early twenties after graduating from catering college as a fully trained chef. He went on to work in kitchens, pizzerias and hotels throughout his career.

Steve also worked in the speciality coffee industry for more than a decade, learning all there is to know about the trade, whilst harnessing his drive and passion for serving only the freshest and most delicious coffee.

With family firmly rooted in Skipton, Steve and his son, Wes, decided to take a leap of faith in 2007, and opened the town’s first independent speciality coffee shop. Their aim was to craft the perfect espresso blend to create a perfectly unique coffee drinking experience in every cup, as well as deliver quality food and premium service. This aim still stands today.
